The misty road to paris

Here's another piece of the customary update of my beloved club from west london that is chelsea - And the cycle continues...ladies and gentlemen!Welcome to the 05/06 edition of the uefa champions league!Where the world's top footballers congregate and churn out jaw dropping and saliva dripping football skills of the highest quality.As i'm typing this,the lads in blue are in the midst of a home match against current belgian table topper,anderlecht.

Understandably,anderlecht will opt for a defensive style of play and it's inevitable this is gonna frustrate the blues a great deal.Well,i reckon chelsea might as well play it tight at the back too and employ long balls tactic to get even.Ideally,chelsea will maintain possesion of the ball for most of the duration and try to nick a goal on the counter.My prediction?1-0 to chelsea!Wait...this isn't right!I should be burying myself with the assignments now and not blogging.Aih...till then!

Edit 12/26/07: The Paris edition of UCL, season 06/07 IINM is won by *drum rolls* Barca! Kudos to them! Great squad Rijkaard had that season. Btw, my beloved Real spoilt their party last Sunday. Second win in 24 years in Camp Nou. Sweet! Keke...
