Futsal no more
Arghhhhh!!!.I sprained by ankle badly again. This time it's my right ankle. Now my left ankle must be a very happy bone indeed as it now has company.I was attempting to score the so called 'golden goal'(this is a crucial goal as it will separate the winners from the losers). The good news was the goal went in but the defender was too late to react.Instead of blocking my shot(apparently, when he arrived the ball was already on its way to the back of the net),he knocked my right foot.I lost my balance and landed my right foot in an awful position.
I swear i heard a 'pop' at that time.So the goal was all in vain given the injury i sustained while scoring it.I though it would be a meaningful goal.Come on,it's a golden goal after all.Winner takes all.I've even planned the goal celebration before hand for good measure.I'll be taking my shirt off ala tim cahill and run around the pitch like i haven't scored for 10 years. But the reality was far from that.I was forced to limp out.All of my friends were complimenting my shot, saying that it was the best they have seen from me.
Yue meng also went so far to say that i deserve the MOTM recognition.Well,of coz i'm flattered but i'm kinda oblivious to the praised seriously.I could only managed a weak smile as the painfulness of my ankle took control of my mind. And yes, while on the way back,i was thinking why the hell i agreed to play futsal on this very night.I could have refused it and stayed at home. Not like i can see this coming, after all they say life is full of surprises and man! What a painful surprise i received. Then needless to say,my ankle was swollen to the size of a chicken egg.Suddenly i found myself being rendered immobile.
Walking seemed like a chore to me.I wished i could stay on the bed for the whole day coz the pain was really unbearable when i tried to walk. It's killing me.Even limping didn't do my right ankle any good.So i went to see a doctor,a bone-setter to be exact.Yeah, that's what tabib's called in english. He said that the ankle was dislocated.Omg,it was worse then i've expected.Wahhh, the process of getting the bone back in place was a torture.
I wished he knocked me off with some anaesthetic earlier. After it was done,my right foot was literally shaking. So you can imagine how much pain i went through.Ah,the wonders of time!It has been more than four days now,i can walk normally but my right foot will get tired easily when i do long distance or stand a lot.The swelling is still a bit obvious.I need to rest more.Probably will take another two weeks or so before it heals completely. The left ankle took me three weeks but it was less serious and i didn't see a doctor.
